Vicious Whisper
A coworker lent me some books - they're referred to as the "Mercedes Thompson" series, written by Patricia Briggs. The main character is a Native American shape shifter - she can turn into a coyote at will, she was raised by werewolves and she's a VW mechanic.
The book takes place in the modern world, where fae and vampires and werewolves are all real, and due to advances in forensic science, the fae have been forced to reveal their existence.
Interesting world concept.
The back of the first book makes it sound like absolute trashy cheese - says something about how her "sexy next door neighbour" is a werewolf, and they have cleavage shots of a cute tattooed girl on the front covers. Definitely not something I would have picked up to read on my own, but they've turned out to be fun (and yes, a little cheesy, but that's okay)
The first book is centered around werewolves, the second on vampires and the third is on the fae. There's a fourth one coming out in the new year. I think I will have to purchase them, because I enjoyed them.

I was supposed to have a meeting with Crown Council tomorrow, but they had to cancel it, as the Councilor is filling in for someone else during a trial tomorrow.
So it's been rescheduled to Thursday morning.
I just want it all over and done with.

Neil just stole my water glass ... the bum.

I kind of want to draw something - I haven't drawn in a while, so I'll have to hunt down a sketchbook.
